Event chairing

I love talking to writers and finding out about their inspirations! I have chaired various literary events including interviewing Polly Clark about her wonderful novel Tiger at Hatchards Piccadilly, and talking to Mary Lawson at Word on the Street Bookshop about her bestselling and Booker Prize longlisted novels including Crow Lake and A Town Called Solace. Thanks to being both a literary publicist and an author myself, I can bring extensive experience of being on both sides of the stage to facilitate lively and engaging author events.

“We had a wonderful evening with author Mary Lawson thanks to Ana, who had thoroughly researched her subject and brought all of her experience to bear.

Ana quickly developed a genuine and warm rapport with Mary and also with the audience.  Her wonderful questions around character development and a sense of place drew out Mary’s personal connections.

Ana helped Mary cover so much ground — from her process for writing to the importance of family; how she ended up living in the UK, and all about her next book.

We’ll certainly be asking Ana to interview for us again, and we’ll really hope she says yes!’

I was delighted to be asked to interview William Sieghart, compiler of the Poetry Pharmacy anthologies, for the Chiddingstone Literary Festival Online (you can listen to our conversation here.)
