Upcoming Events

I’m so looking forward to my first visit to Lincoln for the Book Festival! I’ll be on a panel with poets Ron Booth and Fee Griffin talking all things Myths, Misfits and Minor Miracles and signing copies of anthologies Gods and Monsters and Heroes and Villains on Thursday 2nd October at 4pm.

Tickets available here.

I’m thrilled to be interviewing writer Lucy Mangan about her brilliant new book Bookish: How Reading Shapes Our Lives at the Cuckfield Book Festival in Sussex on 5th October. Lucy is fabulous on what books mean to us and as a fellow bookworm I am so excited to talk to her about the essential, magic power of books.

Tickets available here.

Contact Me for Future Events

Do get in touch (you can email me here) if you’d like to book me to speak at a school, library, bookshop or literary festival, or to chair an author event.

School Events

I speak to Primary School audiences at all levels, and Secondary Schools up to Year 8, and I have interactive talks on nature poems, poetry by women and poems about myths and legends. Find more detailed information on my talks here.

Bookshop, Library and Festival Talks

I love joining panels and being interviewed about books and poetry, and I also have illustrated talks for adults on the hidden history of women’s writing, mythology and legends which I have also delivered to U3A and other groups.

Event Chairing

My experience as both an author and a publicist has been invaluable in event chairing both in person and online. It has been a pleasure to manage warm and lively discussions with fascinating writers including Elly Griffiths, Mary Lawson, Jessica Bull, Polly Clark and William Sieghart. I can also help promote events via my newsletter and social media. More information here.

Demystifying Publishing

I also speak to writers’ groups, sixth forms and other interested groups about careers in Publishing, book publicity for authors and literary events, among other related topics. More detailed information on these talks, which I have delivered in person at venues including the Jersey Festival of Words and online for organisations like The Mum Poem Press and London Writers’ Salon, can be found here.
