A Q&A with Jessica Bull

I’m so excited to interview novelist Jessica Bull about her brilliant book Miss Austen Investigates, in which the sleuth is Jane herself. We’ll be at Word on the Street Bookshop, Ashtead, Surrey on 17th April at 7.30pm. Tickets available from the shop on 01372 273932 or email hello@wordonthestreetbookshop.co.uk.

A Q&A with Simon Mason

I’m a huge fan of Simon Mason’s Oxford-set DI Wilkins crime novels, so am looking forward to interviewing Simon at Ashtead Library on Thursday 9th May at 7pm. I’ll be asking about plotting, why readers are drawn to crime fiction, the importance of location and creating memorable characters.

Tickets available here.

Contact me for Future Events

Do get in touch (you can email me here) if you’d like to book me to speak at a school, library, bookshop or literary festival, or to chair an author event.

I have interactive events for Primary Schools (best suited for Y3-Y5) around Wonder: The Natural History Museum Poetry Book and Gods and Monsters: Mythological Poems (best suited for Y4-Y6). I talk about the Hidden Histories of Women’s Writing, too, to adult and 11+ audiences.

Demystifying Publishing

I also speak to writers’ groups, sixth forms and other interested groups about careers in Publishing, book publicity for authors and literary events, among other related topics.
